LK Dining Lounge cordially invites you to a mulitmedia event
Monday February 6th at 7pm

Please join us for the premiere of Soulosphere: Spheres of Experience, an evening of illustration, photography, wearable sculptures and unique vocal performances in English and Portuguese. Soulosphere is the creative partnership between Paula Fonseca and Julia Thompson, artists, art therapists and friends. Their unique collaboration has resulted in Spheres of Experience, a multimedia presentation which explores the creative process as well as the inspiration behind the work.

Spheres of Experience offers a glimpse at a body of work that is the product of the artists' collective odyssies over the past ten years. From printed image to song, the spirited art of Soulosphere assumes many forms, each medium capturing different aspects of Paula' and Julia's shared vision. The work traces the path of the creative soul in our society, drawing on universal themes, such as spirituality and nature, as well as on personal truths and raw emotion. Throughout, Soulosphere reveals the wisdom offerred from the artists' discovery of our shared journey.

Kelli Vukelic's First Exhibition

Timeless and Intriguing Scenes from around the World
Monday January 16th at 7pm

Welcome to 2006!LK Dining Lounge is thrilled to present Kelli Vukelic's first photography exhibition. Kelli's premiere show features a visual series three years in the making. She created the retrospective through her extensive travels in Canada, the USA and Europe. Working mainly in black and white, Kelli photographs buildings, streets and city scenes. Experiencing other cultures, communities and countries has broadened her view of the world. These striking images invite us to experience not only the other worlds provided in glimpses but also an artist's journey as she explores those worlds.

Through her photography, Kelli documents her own personal experiences as she moves through the world. Inspired by classic beauty and architectural forms, she captures moments that are suspended in a frame and images of places seemingly so far away, and yet so close as to be within her next footsteps. She seeks to share with others the magnificence and diversity of places she never thought she would visit. These places have inspired her to continue to explore the world. Kelli hopes her photographs will encourage others to do the same.

Next Monday, come mingle with people with an eye on our city’s vibrant art scene. While you sip a lovely vintage or transporting cocktail, we invite you to savour our hors d'oeuvres inspired by farflung locales.
